“We received a warm welcome from Neshla and Simon and their communication was excellent. The gite was beautiful – very private with stunning views over fields and vineyards. It was well equipped with everything you need. There are lots of different areas to sit so you can choose shade or sun at any time of day. A highlight for us was the pool – very clean and much needed when temperatures reached 38 degrees some days!

Although the gite is rural it is only a pretty 15 min walk to the nearest town – Baignes Sainte-Radegonde with local shops – Intermarche supermarket, boulangerie, creperie (had a lovely evening meal there) and cafe.

It is also near a great flat disused railway cycle track. We also cycled to a pretty blue lake near Touvérac but the walks were closed due to fire risks.

Other highlights included visiting the night market at Jonzac, Angoulême and the beautiful village of Aubeterre sur Dronne (we stopped to swim at Brossac lake to swim on the way there.)

We would highly recommend this lovely area and house and thank you to Neshla and Simon for a wonderful stay.”

“Neshla and Simon were fabulous hosts. They were really accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we had.

The house was idilic – located in the French countryside with a private pool and walking distance to the local village with a bar/coffee shop, pizzeria, food markets, creperie and more.

We couldn’t have asked for more from our stay – if you’re looking for an idillic French countryside retreat look no further!

We highly recommend to hire a car to get to lakes, vineyards (wine testing) and night markets. Book and enjoy!

“It was a perfect stay! My kids and I really enjoyed this place for 5 days. We spent a lot of time by the pool and in the garden. Time had stopped in this little spot of paradise.

Inside the house everything was perfect too, nothing missing (except a dishwasher maybe) but I would come back next year even if I had to do the dishes again 😉

The host, Neshla and her husband, are really nice ! They want you to have a nice stay and do everything they can to reach this goal.

The pool was so clean! Thanks again for everything ! I am pretty sure to go back there with friends next year (as there is another place to stay for a family of 4 just behind!)

There are many things to do around and to eat : a wonderful creperie and a super pizza place 2 minutes away by car !”
